I was so surprised to receive a text of my granddaughter Ebony's drawing this morning.  Her father sent it to me.  Such gifted talent, and I am so very proud of her.  She did a wonderful job here!  It's no secret to me that I am truly blessed to have children and grandchildren with remarkable talents.

Being a mother and grandmother is one of the most exciting experiences in my life.  Somethings in my life I would change if it were possible, but this journey of motherhood wouldn't be one of them.  Mainly, this is what keeps me going, my children. 

Boy How Time Flies!

One of my favorite places is the ocean.  I always love to go and sit on the sandy beach and watch the waves come in and go out.  It's so relaxing and rejuvenating.  I feel like I am free from all of life concerns when I am there.  It just takes my breathe away in a good way!  Hi everyone who reads this post.  I know it has been a long time since I have been doing some writing on my blog.  I have been just so bombarded with so much of life. Decision making, moves, helping with the children, grand kids and I even started a business.  However, life goes on and I am back to do some more posting on my blog.  Oh yes, I even went on a vacation for the first time to the Bahamas which I will do a post on that next.  Trying to catch up because time flies as they say.  Well, looking forward to writing again and sharing with all of you.

I am so very proud of my daughter Jessica because of her ambition, determination and strength.  She has become such a beautiful young woman who has grown so much in appreciating what life is and has to offer those who choose to follow.  Life is what we make it and Jessica is reaching for the stars and the sky is the limit.  She has really proven that "With God All Things Are Possible for Those Who Believe."  Believe in God, believe in yourself and stop at nothing to reach your goals in life!  This is one of my blessings from God, she is one of my angels and I am blessed to have many.  Congratulations My Babygirl!

Life Is A Wonderful Thing!

It's a beautiful thing to wake up in the morning to witness a brand new day.  Let us be thankful for the air that we breathe, and all that we have been blessed with today.  This is a day in which we all have the opportunity to express love, peace and joy.  To look back just to be thankful for where we are and what we have endured.  Let us be grateful for all of our blessings both great and small.  Everyday, I humbly thank God for my children, grandchildren and for all to come.  Life is one of the greatest gifts that we have to be thankful for.

I went to visit some of my grandchildren and family in Virginia Beach, Va.  And, my granddaughter Heaven was performing at the Sandler Performing Center.  It was so wonderful watching her perform and being blessed to be there.  Love those grands!!!

A Mothers Love

It took 9 months to bring you into this world.  Through this time, I carried you inside me, nourished you and cared for you.  A time of morning sickness, weight gain, Doctors appointments and birth preparations.  I brought you into this world, natural childbirth it was.  And boy, it wasn't an easy task!  I looked at you for the very first time and said once again "I am proud to be a mother", I was very happy.  I took care of you from that point, my love was unconditional.  Tried to breast feed you, but you weren't in the least interested.

I protected you, watched you grow, your first step, potty training, your first word and even then, they were never mistakes but learning experiences even for me.

An embrace, a soft spoken word, a hug, a kiss and  thoughts penetrating the heart in heavenly love.  Your first year and years after, I watched you become this wonderful person.  First day of school, me standing at the door not wanting to separate from you.  Smart, witty, bright, funny sometimes but serious too.  Great grades as the years so easily stroll by honor roll .  Where did the time go?  Smiling, joking around with friends and your siblings.  

I prayed for you always, guided you and yes, protected you.  Was I perfect, some might say no, I say yes because I did the best that I knew how to do.  The sad times, tears streaming down faces of those who care.  Your tears of hurt and pain not even words can comfort sometimes.  God speaking saying "let not your heart be troubled."  God always fixes the problems.  

Times of rebellious remarks and not following my rules made me wonder what did I do wrong!  Moments of silence, inner prayers, sleepless hours sitting up waiting to hear a word.  Prayers for protection and safety go up.  Was I a perfect mother,  I questioned?  Were you a perfect child?  Absolutely not!  We make mistakes and learn from them.  When you do the very best that you can, that is all that you can do.   Is there room for improvements, yes.  Becoming perfect is a goal that we all should try to reach.  However, we are perfected through the unconditional love that we share.  We will never stop learning how to be perfect mothers and grandparents.  Life will never not providing us with challenges and issues to keep us on our toes.  

  If you have done your very best, never think that

you didn't do enough!

It's a New Year and it's time to make some great chances in life.  Making life more healthier and happy.  Its never too late to make changes in ourselves.  The more you decide to make your life work for you, the better life can be.  Enjoying life, family and friends is very important.  Most of us don't really take time out of our busy schedules to call a loved one or friend just to say "how are you".  Keeping the connection means a lot and the more you communicate the better the relationship will become.

JOYFUL CHRISTMAS!

It is that time of year again when the last minute shoppers are filling the stores looking for that special gift.   However it is good to remember that a gift can be given anytime of the year.  Everyone is busy shopping, cooking and travelling to be with those that they love.  It such a wonderful time of the year for family and friends to come together and express their love for one another.   However we must remember that Jesus is the reason for the season.  So take time to be thankful for His birth into the world.  Jesus was a special gift from God to us all.  Like God gave us a special gift, we should always give from the heart.  Give and it shall be given!  Give every chance you get!  It doesn't always have to be an item purchased, but a hug,  a kiss, or a pat on the back for a good job well gone.  Tell someone that you appreciate them or show someone how much you care for them.  Be JOYFUL AT CHRISTMAS AND EVERYDAY  of your life.  We are blessed to see a new year approaching!

A GRANDMOTHERS PRAYER

Here I am again Lord Thanking you for each and ever step that I take.

Thank you Lord for my grandchildren and for protecting them from

harm, hurt and danger. Thank you Lord for allowing me to see their

birth into this world. Thank you Lord for allowing me to see their first

steps and hearing them say their first words. When I see them, I just want

to hold them in my arms and keep them safe from harm, but I know that Lord

you will send your Guardian Angels to keep them in all of their ways. I just

thank you Lord because you have been so good to me. You gave me such

wonderful grandchildren and my life just would not be complete without

them in my life. Every time I hear them say “Grandma”, I just want to reach

out and hug and kiss them because they bring me such great joy. I humbly bow

down in your presence with Thanksgiving in my heart. Keep them Lord safely in

your care. I will always thank you for this wonderful blessing. Witnessing them

say their first prayer filled my heart with gladness. I will always teach them the

right things to do. I will teach them your words and help them to grow up to be

honorable individuals that you will be pleased with. I will care for them and nurture

them to the best of my ability. Lord I need your help to carry out my mission as a

Grandmother and to do the very best that I can for them. Let your love flow in our

hearts forever and keep us protected and safe.

Having Christmas Parties?

A Christmas party is a great way to communicate with others and entertain family and friends.  This is a wonderful way for everyone to get involved and participate.  Food, decorations, gifts and more.  I enjoy those activities that involve the whole family.  Be creative and plan a Christmas party!  Most people put up their Christmas Tree right after Thanksgiving. But if you haven't put up a Tree yet,  incorporate decorating your Tree at your party.  That way everyone you invite can participate.  Have fun and enjoy each others company!
